Devoted – Very loving, loyal, to give all or a large part of one’s time and resources to something or someone.
3 Characteristics of a High Priority Relationship
A high priority relationship requires our undivided attention.
Proverbs 4:20-21
20 My child, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. 21 Do not let them escape from your sight; keep them within your heart.
A high priority relationship requires spending meaningful time.
Mark 1:35
35 In the morning, while it was still very dark, he got up and went out to a deserted place, and there he prayed.
A high priority relationship requires deep commitment.
John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.
3 Spiritual Practices That Enhance the Relationship
Prayer is the act of personally relating to God and it is the communication language of the soul.
1 Thessalonians 5:17
17 Pray without ceasing.
Worship is how we express our love to God.
Revelation 4:10-11
10 The twenty four elders fall before the one who is seated on the throne and worship the one who lives forever and ever; they cast their crowns before the throne, singing, 11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”
Giving is the ultimate act of trust!
Mark 12:41-44
41 He sat down opposite the treasury, and watched the crowd putting money into the treasury. Many rich people put in large sums. 42 A poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which are worth a penny. 43 Then he call his disciples and said to them, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the treasury. 44 For all of them have contributed to the treasury out of their abundance; but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.”

We desire to fulfill the relationship that is powered by the fire of God’s love in our hearts.
Psalms 42:1-2

Our joy transcends our circumstances.

Our courage exhibits the inward and eternal assurance that comes from our relationship with God.
2 Timothy 1:7
7 for God did not give us a spirit of cowardice, but rather a spirit of power and of love and self-discipline.
