REDEFINING SUCCESSFUL

A PICTURE OF THE PURSUIT OF “SUCCESSFUL”
78% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck
Approximately 66% of Americans would struggle to pay for a $1,000 emergency
43% carry over a credit card balance every month
The average credit card balance is $6,850
Interest on that balance is $1,162/year

ALL PAIN, NO GAIN

1 Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil…

Galatians 1:10
Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal I would not be Christ’s servant

1 Timothy 6:6-10
Yet true godliness with contentment itself is great wealth. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into this world and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content.

But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.

And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.

SEEKING GOD’S VIEW OF SUCCESSFUL

Colossians 3:17
And Whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father
